Oracle Announces

We are pleased to announce that we are taking part in the award winning Thames Gateway Forum which takes place on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th November 2007 at London ExCeL. This is the largest ever gathering of those involved in the regeneration project.  This year’s event marks the fourth year of the conference and will focus on overcoming the challenges ahead, while striving to accelerate the completion of this vast project.

The Thames Gateway Forum is the annual meeting place for the people and organisations concerned with the regeneration and delivery of The Thames Gateway and Olympic region, one of the world’s most exciting regenerations projects. The forum will feature 130 top level speakers, as well as keynote speeches from leading industry and political figures. There will be over 250 exhibitors at the event, including ourselves who will be located at Stand C56.

We view ourselves as one of the major contributing developers to the Thames Gateway project as we have acquired around 13 acres of development land in the Docklands, putting our ourselves in the top three landowning developers in the area along with Ballymore and the Canary Wharf Group. Our flagship scheme, Indescon Court, is a £305 million mixed-use regeneration project which will rise to 31 storeys and provide in excess of 950 homes, a 120 bed hotel and 12,000 sqft of retail and office space.

Located in Tower Hamlets, Indescon Court will provide approximately 250 affordable housing units, representing 30% of the total scheme, and a mixture of socially rented and shared ownership homes.

Darryl Flay, Chief Executive, comments: “We are proud to be a significant contributor to the regeneration of the Thames Gateway area by providing a large number of new homes and business space for a growing population. The project will create thousands of new jobs and help to meet the massive demand for housing in London and the South East. We feel it is especially important to take part in this significant event and show our support for an incredible regeneration effort.”

Darryl continues: “Work on the Thames Gateway has begun in some areas already and with the new high speed 1 rail link to Europe the project is set to take off. The Government clearly recognises the importance of the project and while it is still in its early stages we are excited to be a part of the £40 billion private sector investment occurring over the next two to three decades.”
